WELCOME TO HERDSMAN LAKE DISCOVERY CENTRE
Nature Based Experiences for Everyone!
Discover a beautiful wetland just minutes from Perth city and meet the wildlife that call it home. The Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre is a unique place for school groups, community groups and the public to reconnect with nature.
Noogenboro (Herdsman Lake) is located within Mooro Nyoongar Boodja – Mooro people’s land, which is part of the greater Wadjak Nyoongar area. We acknowledge the traditional Aboriginal owners of the land. We also recognise the unique connection between the Nyoongar people and Country, their valued contribution to local community and cultural life, and their relationship with Noogenboro.
The Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre is operated by WA Gould League, a local not-for-profit organisation. All proceeds contribute to ongoing environmental education for all.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are a not-for-profit organisation committed to nurturing a passion for nature through education, innovation and communication.
The generous support of Lotterywest has enabled us to create a new, state-of-the-art Discovery Centre with interactive exhibits and displays focusing on the incredible diversity and uniqueness of Herdsman Lake. We are seeking sponsors and support with funding to continue operation. Supporting the Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre will ensure that future generations of Western Australians will be able to enjoy this idyllic location, learn about nature and develop a passion for the environment. All donations are tax-deductible.
