About the Event
A very special event for twitchers, nature lovers and photography enthusiasts alike! Glorious bird photos will be on show at Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre as entries in ‘The A-Z of Birds Photographic Exhibition’.
From a Yellow-nosed Albatross to a Zebra Finch, come and see an exhibition of over 50 fabulous bird photographs taken by members of BirdLife Western Australia. There will be a people’s choice award for the most popular photograph, which can be voted on in centre.
The bird alphabet contest began as a way to keep members of BirdLife WA engaged when they could not get together during lockdown.
Over the year, the competition ran through the alphabet and the resulting collection of photos was so good it was decided to present an exhibition of the best.
They can be viewed at the centre from 9am-12pm on Sunday October 24th and then 9am to 2pm each day from Tuesday 26th to Saturday October 30th.
Entry to the exhibition is $5, and free for members of WA Gould League and BirdLife WA.
