About the Event
Spend a relaxing and creative afternoon making nature crafts at Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre this school holidays. Nurture within your children a connection to the natural environment and a desire to create. This low-cost, self-guided 'crafternoon' by the lake is just the thing to keep the boredom at bay! Stay for as long or as little as you like.
There will be multiple nature craft stations set up around the centre, with staff guidance and printed instructions at each table. Children can make a dream catcher, mobile, nature weaving, magic wand, threaded leaf necklace and decorated story gumnut.Â
This workshop will take place on Friday 7th October from 2-4pm at Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre, on the corner of Flynn and Selby Street, Wembley.Â
Please note this is not a drop-off program and children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. However, carers are welcome to picnic on the grounds, and use the barista coffee window and free Wifi.
Cost: $10 per participant (parents and carers are free of charge). Full access to explore the Discovery Centre is included in the ticket price.Â
What To Bring: We recommend bringing a water bottle and wearing covered shoes for your visit.Â
Please note a COVID event plan will be in place – physical distancing, sanitization measures and increased indoor ventilation will be in place.Â
