About: This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in nature and the world of birdwatching and meet like-minded people in the local community.
***As this Birdwalk has been kindly sponsored by the WA Parks Foundation, Lotterywest and their 'Spring Into Parks' initiative, this is a free event and includes a catered morning tea provided at the conclusion of the Bird Walk.***
Date: Third Sunday of the month  (please continue to check website for specific dates)
Time: 8 - 10am
Presenters: Birdlife Australia
Cost: This is a free event, however registration is essential as places are limited.
What’s included: Presentation on Herdsman Lake birdlife, bird watching techniques and how to use binoculars effectively. Guided birdwalk around the picturesque Herdsman Lake where you are guaranteed to see a variety of birdlife. Also included is a catered brunch, tea and coffee making facilities and free entry to the Discovery Centre during the event. Barista coffee also available to purchase from our coffee window Twitchers. Binoculars will be provided for participants who don’t own a pair.Â
What to bring: Water bottle, hat, suitable clothing for weather conditions (recommended not to wear anything bright), binoculars or spotting scope if you have one.
