Father's Day Family Nature Day

Celebrate the special father figure in your life with a relaxing afternoon in the company of family and friends, surrounded by the beauty of Herdsman Lake! 

This family event includes a range of fun children’s activities nestled under the trees, as well as regular favourites, including aquatic scooping, guided nature walks, and hands-on nature activities and Father's Day crafts. You can also explore the centre and meet our animals, test the interactive exhibits, browse the gift shop, and grab a barista coffee, hot chocolate, or bakery treat from our coffee window Twitchers. 

As this event is immediately followed by a ‘Music in the Park’ event - a Classical Guitar Society concert - there will also be musical instruments for children to play and make, in keeping with the day’s theme!
