About the Event
Spend a fun and relaxing afternoon with family and friends by our beautiful Herdsman Lake.
This month's Family Nature Day event includes the usual favourites: aquatic scooping from the lake, guided walks and nature crafts.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! Come along to learn about citizen science projects and apps you can use, try some early-learning science experiments, have a go at nature journaling what's happening around the lake and check out the amazing critters living in our lake under microscopes! 🔬
Tour the centre and meet our animals, experience a keeper talk and feeding, explore the interactive exhibits, play in the early learning rooms, browse the gift shop, and grab a barista coffee, hot chocolate or sweet treat from our coffee window Twitchers. You can even bring a rug and picnic on the shady lawns!
All proceeds go towards environmental programs for the whole community.
