About the Event
‘Culture in the Park’ - A beautful family day out, connecting community, culture and Country.
As the final event in the spring ‘In the Park’ series, we have saved the best for last — a spectacular cultural experience!
Join us for a very special morning celebrating Noongar culture at one of the most significant indigenous sites within the Whadjuk Noongar Boodja, Noogenboro (Herdsman Lake).
Led by respected Noongar leader Olman Walley and Boorloo Aboriginal Cultural Experiences, ‘Culture in the Park’ offers a rare opportunity to experience and learn from one of Perth’s most respected indigenous education organisations in a welcoming, family-friendly environment.
Set beside a wetland that has sustained and inspired Noongar people for thousands of years, this unique event will include a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony, storytelling, Didgeridoo and interactive dance performances, a guided nature walk, and sharing of traditional knowledge about Noongar seasons, language, artefacts, and…
