About the Event
‘Culture in the Park’ - A beautful family day out, connecting community, culture and walking on Country.
As the final event in the spring ‘In the Park’ series, we are finishing with a spectacular cultural experience!
Join us for a very special morning celebrating Noongar culture, community and connection to Country at one of Perth’s most significant indigenous sites, Noogenboro (Herdsman Lake), as part of the wider Whadjuk Noongar Boodja.
Led by respected Noongar Elder Olman Walley and Boorloo Aboriginal Cultural Experiences, ‘Culture in the Park’ offers a rare opportunity to experience and learn from one of the most knowledgeable cultural educators in a welcoming, family-friendly setting.
Set beside a wetland that has sustained and inspired Noongar people for thousands of years, this unique event will include a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony, storytelling, Didgeridoo and interactive dance performances, a guided nature walk, and sharing of traditional knowledge about…
