About the Event
The WA Gould League and WA Naturalists' Club have jointly registered as a 'Clean Up Australia Day' site, and we are thrilled to take part in this community event to preserve our precious wetland space.
Meet at Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre on Saturday the 9th of March at 8.00am for a guided bird walk, to appreciate why we work towards keeping our wetland in pristine condition. At 9.00am, you will be assigned a supervisor and an area to collect rubbish, around the centre grounds and along Moondine Drive. All materials will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own gloves if you wish.
Return to the Discovery Centre at 10.00am for a free morning tea as a gesture of our appreciation, and to congratulate you on your hard work!
If you are interested in attending this event, please RSVP with number of participants in your group.
Note: This event is not on the official Clean Up Australia Day date, but on the 9th of March for maximum participation!
What to Bring: Please bring a waterbottle and wear comfortable sun-smart clothing, a wide-brimmed hat, covered shoes, and gloves if you own a pair.
