About the Event
Thanks to funding through the Better Beginnings Family Literacy Community Grants Program, administered by the State Library of Western Australia, the WA Gould League is excited to host a new early literacy program called Bookworms.
The aim is to help local families feel confident and supported in sharing books and stories with their young children (aged 0 to 5 years) while also celebrating Western Australian authors.
Bookworms will be held at Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre from 10:00-11:30am on the first Saturday of each month, supported by WAGL playgroup facilitators Chantelle, Leigh & Sarah.
In June, we are very lucky to be joined by local author and illustrator Karen Blair, who will be reading a book written by Tania Cox and illustrated by Karen herself, called With Nan.
