About the Event
Thanks to funding through the Better Beginnings Family Literacy Community Grants Program, administered by the State Library of Western Australia, the WA Gould League is excited to host a new early literacy program called Bookworms.
The aim is to help local families feel confident and supported in sharing books and stories with their young children (aged 0 to 5 years) while also celebrating Western Australian authors.
Bookworms will be held at Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre from 10:00-11:30am on the first Saturday of each month, supported by WAGL playgroup facilitators Chantelle, Leigh & Sarah.
In July, we are very lucky to be joined by WA author Amy Dunjey, who will be reading from her book Once Upon an A to Z.
The reading will be followed by simple nature walk and fun craft activities (facilitated by WA Gould League playgroup staff) that relate to the themes of the featured book. There…
