About the Event
Get excited! The team from WA Wildlife (formerly Native ARC) are coming for a visit and they are bringing some native animal friends with them! The session will include a one-hour educational session with a variety of Australian mammals and birds.
After a quick break, we will resume for the second half of the workshop, which is an art session designed as an introduction to the national 'Wild at Art' competition. This an annual junior art event organised by the Australian Conservation Foundation that highlights Australia's endangered species list.
It's an opportunity for children unleash their artistic creativity while learning about Australia's threatened animals and plants – and the threats facing them.
This family-friendly event will run from 10am to 12pm on Friday the 14th of July, at the Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre (Cnr Flynn & Selby Streets, Wembley).
