Put on your lab coats and gloves and become a museum curator for the day! Dive into the WA Gould League archives and explore a treasure trove of preserved specimens, nests, fossils, skulls, models and much more in this hands-on school holiday workshop.

About the Event
Join us at Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre this school holidays as the WA Gould League unlocks the archives and shares its wealth of natural science treasures! There are decades worth of amazing museum-worthy curios that we would love to share with your budding scientists, conservationists and naturalists.
This workshop will be presented as a museum exhibition with a variety of environmental and wildlife collections, including skulls, nests, preserved and taxidermied specimens, 3-D models and dioramas.
There will be a variety of interactive and hands-on activities for inquisitive little minds! Children can examine items up close and make observations, recreate fungi specimens using air-dry clay, match skulls to their animal and diet, build a nest, watch a nature documentary and more.
Please note this is not a drop-off program, howeve adults are welcome to participate in the workshop, or make use of the free wifi and coffee window by the lake.

This ticket entitles one child to a two-hour simulated museum curator workshop, with access to he Discovery Centre.
