Volunteer Orientation and Busy Bee

Dear volunteers and prospective volunteers,

Now that the Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre redevelopment is nearly complete, we are looking to reinvigorate our volunteer program in time for some upcoming community events! 

We will be hosting a special volunteer orientation and training session on Saturday 7th August from 9:30am followed by an optional busy bee to help to prepare the centre for opening.

We have a number of events coming up that will need volunteers, especially our Grand Opening event in September.

Proposed agenda:

9:30 - 11:00am - Orientation and Training session

11:00 - 12.00pm  - Busy Bee

• Welcome and introductions
• WA Gould League and plan for the Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre
• Hands-on activities and training  - a range of sessions will be provided
• Volunteer opportunities and tour of the centre
• Busy Bee (litter collecting, cleaning, weeding, painting, etc.)
