About the Event
Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre is partnering with Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre this school holidays in an exciting Easter event like no other!Â
Exploring the theme ‘Every Animal Needs A Home’, get up close and personal with a variety of native animals and learn more about their habitats and shelters, including different nest types. Animals may include (subject to availability): a tawny frogmouth, a bobtail, stimson's python, woylie and echidna.
Following this, kids will have the opportunity to make some nature crafts and participate in an Easter egg hunt within the beautiful surrounds of Herdsman Lake!Â
Suits ages 4 - 10, but all welcome.
Please bring snacks, water, hat, and closed shoes.
Although the session is 2 hours, participants are able to enjoy the Discovery Centre, coffee window and surrounds for the day, or enjoy a picnic on the grass afterwards.Â
Tickets $30 per participant (Parents/Carers Free). Friends of the WA Gould League receive a 15% discount on all Holiday Adventures. Please login to the website to recieve your discount when purchasing tickets.
Please note that this is NOT a drop-off programme, and all children (under 16) must be accompanied by a responsible adult.Â
Event organisers stress that all current COVID requirements will be adhered to at the time, with masks, proof of vaccination, check-ins, sanitization and enhanced cleaning implemented. Physical distancing and ventilation will also be optimized in line with current government requirements.
