Damian Lettoof
Councilor
Damian has always loved reptiles since being a young boy. He has extended that love to all wildlife and turned that passion into a career; for the last 14 years Damian has worked for research laboratories, environmental consultancies, universities and NGOs.
Â
Damian applied his knowledge of snakes to a PhD, where he assessed the impacts of urbanisation on tiger snakes around Perth. Herdsman Lake is one of his main study sites, and he has conducted studies on the tiger snake population’s health, genetics, habitat use and behaviour. From this research, Damian spends considerable amounts of time educating the public, community groups and scientific community about the impacts of urban pollution on our wildlife.
