Letter to the Editor - Funding cut to hit STEM education

Recently the President of the WA Gould League, Kevin Kenneally had a letter published in The West Australian in response to Federal Education minister Simon Birmingham's call for more students to study STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) subjects and the importance of having more STEM teachers in schools. The WA Gould league has prided itself in almost 80 years of STEM education in WA as well as having outstanding scientists on its management committee. Many of the students who have participated in its programs or were members of the WA Gould league have gone on to have successful careers in Science, some of them well-known! Please help us in keeping the WA Gould league running and allowing more students to benefit from the programs we offer.
