Campaign Update - Petition lodged at Parliament House
Yesterday, the WA Gould League's petition, containing 817 signatures, was handed to the Hon. Donna Faragher MLC on the steps of Parliament House. We were also joined by representatives from Save Moora College, Community Kindergartens and Camp Schools.
The petition was tabled in Parliament thanks to Donna Faragher, and we have been told in due course we will receive a letter from the Standing Committee on Environment and Public Affairs inviting us to make a submission to them.

We later met the Leader of the Opposition Hon. Mike Nahan MLA, over coffee, and he thanked all of the group representatives for their community support on behalf of the children of the State.
If you didn't get a chance to sign our petition and would like to, please come down to the Herdsman Lake Wildlife Centre and sign! We have an opportunity to submit another batch of signatures in August.
Please ask Education Minister Sue Ellery to restore State Government funding in full for Herdsman Lake Wildlife Centre, so that it can continue to inspire generations of Western Australians to care for our wildlife and environment.
