Job Title: Administration Assistant
The WA Gould League is looking for an Administration Assistant to help run the Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre. The role will typically involve approximately 10 hrs a week with flexible work hours.
The Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre is a place where everyone is welcome and features wildlife enclosures, interactive displays, gift shop, coffee window, and a range of fun and interesting programs.
Assist with school and community bookings and communication.
Assist to prepare reports for council meetings including annual reports.
Prepare applications for funding and complete related administration.
Invoicing and data management.
General administration including replies to inquiries and sourcing equipment and consumables.
Other desirable, but optional, skills:
Retail or hospitality experience.
Community Engagement/ Science communication – assisting lead educators with running school excursions and community events. Knowledge of wetland ecosystems.
