Job Title: Administration Assistant

The WA Gould League is looking for an Administration Assistant to help run the Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre. The role will typically involve approximately 10 hrs a week with flexible work hours. 

 

The Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre is a place where everyone is welcome and features wildlife enclosures, interactive displays, gift shop, coffee window, and a range of fun and interesting programs. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with school and community bookings and communication. 

  • Assist to prepare reports for council meetings including annual reports. 

  • Prepare applications for funding and complete related administration. 

  • Invoicing and data management. 

  • General administration including replies to inquiries and sourcing equipment and consumables. 

 

Other desirable, but optional, skills: 

  • Retail or hospitality experience. 

  • Community Engagement/ Science communication – assisting lead educators with running school excursions and community events. Knowledge of wetland ecosystems.
