Situated on the edge of Herdsman Lake, Herdsman Lake Wildlife Centre provides a unique opportunity for the local community to reconnect and interact with nature. As a nature discovery and environmental education centre, we provide integrated learning experiences, Australian Curriculum-linked school excursions, and a site for wetland field studies.
Community activities include bird walks, information nights, night stalks, wildlife excursions and festivals. These activities aim to provide direct interaction with the natural ecosystem and develop community interest and involvement in the natural environment and wildlife conservation.
